Your experience in the very first class will be very different from the subsequent classes.
It is our belief that we should prepare you to be able to survive a sudden vicious attack and so the first class is dedicated to providing you with the understanding, recognition skills and basic tools to do so.
Subsequent classes are structured so that you spend a month to six weeks focusing on developing a core skill and making it functional in all of the dimensions of combat.
The new skills are then tested during each class by means of sparring and realistic scenario training.
Safety is a priority and we don’t allow anyone to spar or engage in scenario training without both mouthpiece and eye wear. Cup is optional.
We normally train in what we’d normally wear; jeans and a t-shirt, sometimes shorts and a t-shirt, sometimes, jeans and a hoodie. They all give certain advantages and disadvantages and we encourage the group to train in the same clothes that they normally would wear.
If we train to punch hard we wear boxing gloves, otherwise we don’t use gloves. Knife training is generally done with padded knifes, they are like the MMA-gloves of the training blade world. We also use other training tools to enhance certain attributes and skill sets.
